Kertalangu cultural village: Desa Budaya is situated in the middle of an 80-hectare rice field and is the perfect one-stop location for experiencing shopping and culture in Bali. Here you can enjoy Balinese cuisine, watch cultural performances, observe locals make handicrafts, and even plant rice paddies with your own hands. The cultural village also has loads of facilities to accommodate and entice visitors, such as running tracks in lush surroundings, fresh fruit and vegetables available for purchase, fishing ponds, and a restaurant and beauty salon, flying fox and horse riding.

If you’re coming for a jog, make sure you come in the morning or evening when the sun isn’t as harsh. Many visitors find running in the cultural village, surrounded by gorgeous scenery, incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. If you fancy a meal after your run, there is food on offer as you walk along the rice field. It’s usually simple but tasty fare, consisting of chicken satay, yellow rice, green beans and grilled corn, and each serving is only $5. For more sophisticated cuisine, the restaurant is the place to go, and is a perfect spot from which you can enjoy the village’s gorgeous outlook.

Kertalangu Cultural Village is 10 minutes from Sanur, 30 minutes from Kuta, and a 40 hour trip from Nusa Dua. In the area you can find various water sport activities, and the village is also close to the BajraSandhi Monument, Jagatnatha Temple, Taman WerdhiBudaya Art Centre and the Bali Museum.
